Old horseshoes, a few honest tools, and a second purpose — turned by hand into a wind chime made for porches, gardens, memories, and quiet moments.
FROM SERVICE TO THE WORKBENCH
My name is Jordan, and I’m a veteran trying to build something meaningful with my own two hands.
For years, the uniform gave me structure, purpose, and a reason to get moving every morning. When that chapter of my life ended, I found out that figuring out what came next was harder than I expected.
Working with my hands gave me something steady again. I started in a small workshop with old horseshoes, basic tools, and an idea: take something that had already lived a useful life and give it another one.
One by one, those worn horseshoes became the wind chimes you see here. I clean them, inspect them, shape them, and assemble each piece by hand. The marks and wear are different every time, so no two finished chimes feel exactly the same.
I’m not trying to compete with a factory. I’m trying to make something I’m proud to put my name behind — something with a little history, a little character, and a reason for existing.

THE SOUND OF A QUIETER MOMENT
The first thing you'll notice isn't only how it looks.
It's how it sounds.
When a gentle breeze passes through, the chime produces a soft, low tone — not sharp, not overwhelming, and not like a mass-produced metal clatter.
It’s the kind of sound that fits a front porch in the morning, a garden at the end of the day, or a favorite chair where you go when you want a few quiet minutes to yourself.
For me, that sound is a reminder that sometimes the simplest things can help us slow down and be present.
REAL HORSESHOES. A SECOND CHAPTER.
Before becoming a wind chime, each horseshoe already had a life of its own. That is exactly why I like working with them.
Instead of treating a worn horseshoe like scrap, I clean it, work with its existing shape, and turn it into something that can stay around for years in a completely different way.
Nail holes, worn edges, weather marks, and slight differences are part of the piece — not defects to be hidden.
WHY I SHAPE IT INTO A HEART
The heart shape wasn’t chosen just because it looks good hanging on a porch.
To me, it stands for the people we carry with us — family, old friends, fellow veterans, someone we miss, or someone who simply deserves to know they’re loved.
A horseshoe already carries its own history. Giving it the shape of a heart felt like the right way to turn that history into something warmer.
BUILT ONE AT A TIME
This is still hands-on work. Each horseshoe is inspected, cleaned, shaped, and assembled individually.
Because the horseshoes start out different, every finished wind chime has its own wear patterns, small variations, and character.
That’s the point. You’re not bringing home something designed to look identical to ten thousand others. You’re bringing home a piece that still shows where it came from.
